Cool head unit swap

I have a 2005 g35 coupe and the cd player/navigation system is no longer working. I notice that the entire thing needs to be replaced. I found several 03-04 model systems for sale but none from my year the more recent models. can I use one of the 03-04 unit in mine??

First off did you check your fuses? Does your car have the OEM nav? I just replaced fuses in my car and that solved my issue of the non working head unit and navi.

Keep in mind there are 3 fuse boxes (one on the drivers side kick panel by the dead pedal, one in the battery compartment and one behind the battery. You'll have to take the battery out to see it. I thnk the fuse is located in the one inside by the dead pedal)

the cheapest I saw was $600 on ebay. an aftermarket system is probably best bet.
