Double Din conversion (Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT)
Hi all,
I have finally decided to swap out the factory Bose HU and replace it with a double din unit. Can anyone please tell me what else I need to purchase before going to an installer? I am putting together the following:
1. Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT
2. Pioneer CD-IU50V iPod cable
3. JDM Double Din
4. Metra 70-7551
5. PAC SWI-PS steering wheel control
6. AMP (looking at a used Phoenix Gold Ti500.4)
I am not trying to put in a full system and will most likely keep the factory Bose speakers to save some money. I am only upgrading amp to avoid issues with aftermarket HU/Bose amp.

Somebody asked this exact question like a week ago.
Anyway, you're forgetting the nissan antenna adapter, and a double-din trim ring, as the Pioneer head units don't come with them (unless the Z110 is an exception).
With that 4-channel amp, you won't have anything to drive the 8" Bose subwoofer.

Use an aftermarket amp to power the stock bose system? Seems like a waste, as well as sending the stock speakers to an early grave if you really decide to jam, especially with the PDX5 lol . Just have the installer bypass the factory amp and use the regular 70-7550 harness. It's what I did, super easy too.
