Nice guys lol.

I guess I just kind of assumed that whoever designed the trunk kit would figure people would want to route the iPod interface cord up to the front of the car somewhere.

The pa15-infi might have a cord that is long enough to do that. not sure. call usa spec to double check. i've called them before...very helpful. didnt put me on hold or anything.

the OEM Nissan ipod integration kit is meant to leave the ipod in the trunk (stupid, i know). so i just want you to make sure that the infi cord is long enough to rout back into the cabin.

Which kit to get, I am going to have a place do it. Should I look for any special installation that might do something cool? I have a jailbroken iphone.

The PA15-NIS will work just fine. You should not pay more than $75 to have it installed if you insist to have it professionally installed.

Wow really okay, $75! They were trying to charge me $300! Thanks guys. I just hope the stock bose speakers or head unit dont go bad with the auxiliary installation I wouldnt see why.

You should be fine. Deepdiver installed a pa15-nis on his Bose head unit and everything works fine. I've installed it on my non-Bose head unit and everything works fine. Install time should take 45-60 minutes for a first timer.

A full write up with pictures can be found here:

Oh, and just to be clear, I was saying you should not pay more than $75 for labor. The unit itself will cost $115-$155.

Where are you located?
