Worth upgrading speakers w/ factory HU

I have a non Bose system and just blew my front door speaker. At 1st I was just going to go to the dealership and have it replaced under warranty but was wondering if I would get better sound by upgrading the door speakers. I do not plan on changing out the head unit. Suggestions ???

Considering all the high end speakers that are out there on the market, I would say that you can get better sound if you're willing to dish out the $. Otherwise, just ask yourself if you were happy with the sound of your stock speakers... if so, save the $ and let your dealer replace it!

I just had mine replaced with Hertz speakers and I'm loving it.

When I first got the car I had JL speakers put in to replace all the stock Bose. I had a sub and amp installed at the same time. Just Tuesday I went to have an IPod connection installed and discovered the drivers side door speaker went out. So I decided to upgrade all the front speakers since they had to tear everything apart anyhow.

They weren't cheap, but the sound is amazing. I have the stock head unit and don't plan on changing it. I will probably upgrade the back speakers in a few months since I'm so impressed with how the front sound.

if it's under warranty, have them replace it anyways... so if you decide to upgrade it and take all of the speakers out when you sell it, all of the stocks will work

+1,000,000,000,000 If you still have warranty left, let them pay the bill.
