Installing A/V Inputs
I'm trying to find the simplest, cheapest solution to this. I have the Archos AV320 portable audio/video player. It has an A/V output cable (the standard yellow, red, white) that I would like to be able to plug in and have it route the signal to the nav screen. I'd also like it so when I have only the audio cables plugged in, the audio would play from the AV320, but the Nav screen would show the navigation system. The fished product would be 3 input jacks (yellow, red, white), side by side, hopefully on the center console below the shifter in an automatic, or by the radio and whatnot if below the shifter isn't possible. Is this a relatively simple thing for a car shop to do? What should I expect to pay for something like this? Like is it going to cost me a few grand, or should it be pretty affordable?

Hey there,
You want something like the AV Electronic unit. I would be happy to help you with any questions you may have about it. The unit will allow you to do what you want it to... Many users here have already done it - as I have.
You can check out thier website at www.avelectronic.com for more details... You can also PM me if needed.
Good luck!

Re: Installing A/V Inputs
That's perfect! Thanks for recommending it. Where did you install your unit? So to have the A/V inputs below the shifter, I'd just need to have the car shop route one input wires from the AV Electronic unit to the inputs below the shifter? Again, I'm still curious about what I should expect to pay? I really don't know what is a high price and what's low, so it would be pretty easy for me to get ripped off. Thanks!
