Ugh, I'm having my stuff installed right now and they just called me and said that the steering wheel adapter is wireless which isn't good. They said they have to position a LED light to work with the radio and that there's no good place to position it. They suggested some $100 one (I provided all the parts of the installation myself based on suggestions from here). Are they scamming me? Is this true? I've read tons of people on here using the PAC SWI-X. HELP!

 

it comes down to more work for them. There's a variety of places to drill a small hole and place the eye (not an LED even though it looks like one).
Which deck are you putting in? usually the more specialized ones will work better.
