Will I lose my last scene feature?

If I hardwire a DVD player to the cigarette lighter, will I lose the "last scene memory" feature after turning off the car since the power to the cig lighter is cut when the car is turned off? I want the DVD player to power on and off with the car, but don't want to lose the last scene feature.

Also, for connecting a PS2 by hardwiring it also to the cig lighter, how do I determine which wires coming out of the inverter are positive/negative? they are attached and both black.

THanks for your help,
Frank

I suspect that will completely depend upon the dvd player.

Re: Will I lose my last scene feature?

i've tried this with my dvd player.... (innovatek fd5tv)

last scene memory did not work when plugged into the cig lighter adapter. it only worked when hardwired into the headunit's wiring (3 wires: +12 ignition, +12 constant, ground) the cig lighter does not have a constant 12v source when the car is OFF
