mod enter button on nav possible?
I got a g with oem nav. I was wondering if there is a way to "mod" another button to be enter as well. I dont know which genious made the joystick also the enter button.
If we had a different button, say zoom in as enter, I think i may actually be able to use my nav as nav. I can put atleast 3-4 addresses in my Iphone before I can even put in one address in our car.
right now I just use it as a map( some people even said it looks like chicken scratches but better than nothing)
I end up using my iphone to nav as it is much faster.
anyone know of anything?

The regular buttons are just tiny microswitches soldered onto the PC board. There isn't really any way to rewire them from one to the other, but adding a second enter button that's run in parallel to the joystick button could be done if you're careful with your soldering pen.
The "adding dual" to JDM climate controls post will give you an idea of how tiny the switches are, and how hard it would be to rewire them.

There are touchscreen overlays, but since there's no programming in the stock nav for it, it wouldn't do you any good to just have that.
Now, you could get the AVelectronics box, and put a 7" USB overlay on the screen, or just custom mount a into that spot and connect it to a carPC or laptop running GPS software of your choice.
