Why couldn't you just trim the stock dash instead of getting the DD conversion?

where have you been the past 2 years? just kidding...

You cant trim the stock dash because the AC controls and stock headunit controls are on the same circuit board behind the dash where all of the buttons are.

The audio shop near me told me they can install the Kenwood w/o having to by the Double Din kit. They said they recently installed it in a G. Is there a way this is possible?

well..the only way I can see..if they put it in the cubby..basically removing the cubby lid..and adding some kind of mechanism in to hold it in place..

There are a lot of shops saying that it can be done...that is not the question....it's the after effect of all the fabrication....The best way to go without any worries is with the double-din....therefore no worries...the manufacture made these vehicles with very intricate electronic systems and it just gets better as the years pass on....thats why Double-Din is the way to go!!!
