Whats the best double din deck to get
Was interested in buy a nice deck for my 03 g35 coupe and wanted to know what other people have bought and installed, i want something that will be clean and flush, and nothing that to expensive, like something around 1000
What's your primary purpose for the DD?
If it's iPod, I believe Pioneer headunits are the best for controlling one.
If it's navigation, some Kenwood units have Garmin software, which some people prefer.
Sound quality? Bluetooth integration?
If you're running a Bose headunit, I'd recommend getting a little bit cheaper headunit and replacing the amp, as the end result would be preferable.

hey
well i was i have tomtom portable navi so wasnt worried about that just something nice and flat, and have dvd player so my girl can watch soemthing when we go long places
Im looking for something as well, I have had bad luck with Pioneers but thats just me, Not to say they are bad.
I like that Pioneers let you color match the illumation ( WHY DOESNT ALL BRANDS DO THIS? ) So annoying a amber illumination car with a radio glowing blue?
With that being said im a huge Alpine fan and think I will be going with an Alpine
IVA-W505 http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/iva-w505/default
But the blue lights are a little annoying. I am almost debating pioneer to atleast look uniform.
The Alpine has a nice higher resolution screen and can be had on ebay for around $650

If you're happy with your navi, the Pioneer 4100 is a popular option for DVD.
Going with the alpine will let you add navigation to it later if you so desire.
I'll put the eBay warning out there - if you want your warranty, you have to buy it from an authorized retailer:
ABT, BEST BUY, CRUTCHFIELD, MADDJACKS, ONE CALL, NEW EGG,
AL & ED'S, CAR TOYS, SIXTH AVENUE ELECTRONICS, PACIFIC STEREO, THE SPECIALISTS
(sorry about the caps, it's how it was on Alpine's site.)
