Check Engine after radio install

Check Engine after radio install
Got the Service engine soon after radio install.
Did the manual ECU reset, but when you turn the car off and restart, SES again is lit.
What could be causing this?
I removed the negative lead to battery while doing a radio install and got the light upon completion. Everything seems to be working fine and the car is running the way it did before the install.
Haven't been able to get a scanner yet, but will be trying that soon to see what the code is.
Any ideas on why im getting the light would be helpful.
Again, the manual ecu reset works shortly, then the light comes back.

Happened to me after I did an amp install in the Z. Its some kind or rom error code. It happens if you connect, remove negative cable from battery terminal often. I cleared the code with a scanner and it never returned.
Ive heard other Z owners having the same problems after radio/amp installs.

ISSUE Resolved:
Since I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my rear defroster, i was checking and replacing fuses.
I reinstalled the o2 sensor fuse in the wrong slot under the steering column panel.
I removed and inserted into correct o2 sensor slot, did a manual ecu reset and believe all is well.
Thanks for all your input.
