Sound Quality: CD vs I-POD

How is the SQ of a ( lossless) i-pod track , compared to a CD ???

depends if you're using the line output from the dock connector or the 1/8" headphone jack output..

line output is higher quality. lossless tracks playing though a proper ipod interface will be equal or greater than cd quality

After some reading,.. I think i'm screwed , i've bought 07 sedan with nav !!

Unless there's somebody making lossless recordings off of master recordings at rates higher than CDs, lossless is never going to be better than the CD, since the lossless comes from ripping the CD and compressing it in a way as that no sound is removed the way an MP3 does.

The iPod may have an equalizer to change the way it sounds in a way you like more than your CD player can, but the source quality should be identical, it all comes down to the DAC on the unit playing the CD or amplifying the signal from the iPod.

most store bought cds are on top

lossless ipod is good for everyday listening, for serious listening I used CDs, opinions vary on this
