Bose Pre-Outs issues??? I think...
OK, so I have replaced the factory amp with two aftermarket amps. An eclipse 4 channel amp and a JL Audio mono amp for the sub. The sub works great! The eclipse amp when I turn it up about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way crackles and pops and distorts horribly. I thought it was the fact that I needed a line driver for the pre outs. I put in two little audiocontrol 2xs's crossovers with line drivers in them. But it still does the same thing, kinda differently but basically the same results.
Does anyone have any ideas? Oh, one more thing I used to have a 4 channel JL Audio amp in there and it work great, no distortion. Is it something to do with the kind of amp? Is it balanced vs. unbalanced inputs or something? Has anyone had this problem before?
Please help.

Yeah there's something wacked about the whole system in general. In my opinion, run a whole entire set of RCA's instead of utilizing the existing wires. That means, tapping in the back of the headunit instead of the amp location.
I have an aftermarket headunit AND amp and utilized the existing signal wires which gave me a lot of noise. Something funny goes on in the middle somewhere, im not sure what it is. After running new RCA cables, the noise went away.

IIRC, he's got a 07+ G35 Sedan so its' still the stock headunit, and running new wires is kinda complicated.
Since it's basically free to try, try using the speaker-level outs from the Bose amp if your JL amp has speaker-level inputs. Since you're still using the amp's built-in (crappy) eq, it may not sound the best, but shouldn't distort any more than the factory amp did.
Additionally, you can try running your own wires from the head unit to the amps, and/or get a balance signal converter.
