Intelligent Key vs FOB vs.. Push Button?

Hi guys,

I'm in the market for a G35. One of the minor features that may sway my decision between years is the electronics system with the key. I searched the forum and did a lot of research, but still am a bit unclear.

- What years were the different key systems implemented? From my understanding, 2005 and down has a key FOB.. what is that? 2006+ has Intelligent/Smart Key.. and 2007+ has the Intelligent Key and the push button start. Is that correct?

- For the push-button start, if one were to run out of batteries on the key, would they still be able to start the car?

- Is the Intelligent Key better than a push button start? What if say my starter failed or my battery died and I needed to turn on my ignition and give it some juice? How would it work with a push button?

i think:
for coupe 03-07 and sedan 03-06
all 6mt does not have the intelligent/smart key.
5AT coupe from 03-07 and 5AT from 03-06with premium package has the intelligent/smart key.

all coupes 08 and up and all sedans 07 and up has the push button start.

If the battery runs out, the m35x, which has the push button start, has a little port at the left side under the steering wheel (where VDC OFF is located) where you can insert your intelligent fob into. that will sense you have a valid key, and you can start the car. Replace battery asap.

If the car battery runs out, its the same as jumping any other car. its just that instead of turning a regular fob, you push the button.
