I did this last year. I used the audio from PA15-NIS as VstyLe09 gave you a link to and I used TVNAV2Go for video. Works like a charm...

Thanks. And just to confirm again, no loss of FM? Did you lose CD or steering wheel controls?

The steering wheel controls on the OEM unit are overrated.

What you'll find is you need to HOLD the next button up or down for 2 second or so to go to the next song. So if you want to skip 5 songs ahead. You have to hold 2 seconds, pause, and then hold again 4 more times to get to the song.

Just quicker to reach over and push the seek button on the HU as it's instant. I rarely use the steering controls with my IPOD as it just takes too long. Volumn is instant, but i think you have vol with all the units.

That was the #1 reason I went with the OEM setup...but in hindsight..it's not worth it

The new USA Spec (pa15) will charge and play all iPods/iPhones. I have it with my non-Bose stereo that is not pre-wired for SAT.

my radio works. you change it to sat-1 or sat-2 to play from ipod or mp3 player. steering wheel control doesnt change the music on the mp3 player i believe u need the pac swi-jack for it? can anyone confirm that? but it does maintain its function for everything else its suppose to do

One of the many reasons I recommend just doing a full-on headunit replacement. iPod interface is 5x better with an aftermarket HU.

ooops no I didn't lose control, I could turn the volume up and down from the steering wheel. I never tried to do the "next" or "back"/ "skip" buttons

to revive an old thread.
I have an 06 sedan and want to add this, and i have two quick questions.

Do any of these devices allow other sources besides ipod music? IE, can I listen to pandora through it?

I don't have a SAT button on my radio, can I still use the CD player with it?

Which device is everybody recommending to control the ipod and charge it?

I have the Nissan OEM Ipod kit.

No, you can't play Pandora through it...Ipod/Iphone only. You need an adaptere to charge the iphone, but ipods will charge. Mine stays in the center console 24/7

None of the 05/06s have a SAT button, but you are prewired. You hit "RADIO" to cycle through the modes to get to the Ipod adapter. CD still works. The connection harness is NOT behind the seat like 03-05 models, it's under the pachage tray on the right side.

Controls take some getting used to, but after that navigation is easy. Steering wheel controls work, and highly recommend the use of playlists to navigate te ipod
