i have an 06 G35x with a non bose head unit (no sat button) is the USA Spec pa15 compatible with non bose head units?

Yes. Being bose/non-bose doesn't matter for compatibility, since the PA15 emulates the satellite radio adapter, which is the same for both headunits. Button labels vary from car to car, but there's only two different radios - bose/non-bose. The radio determines the function of buttons based on the adapters connected. Some adapters require that you not have the satellite adapter plugged in to function, but again, the radios are the same.
