CD ERROR FO/LEMON LAW

Guys, I had my radio replaced 4 times since leasing the vehicle 7 month ago. The second radio had a "CD ERROR FO" message as soon as it was turned on after the install!!! My question is whether the Lemon Law covers such a defect as the radio/CD Changer? Anybody heard anything? Thanks.

Re: CD ERROR FO/LEMON LAW

i doubt something like the lemon law would cover the radio... since that's more of an accessory than a necessity to the drivabliity of the car... they could very well not put a cd player in the car and charge the same if they wanted to.. if the car breaks down mechanically or electronically, then you'll have a case.. either way, they're replacing the parts free of charge.. as long as they don't charge you, they're pretty much protected..

Re: CD ERROR FO/LEMON LAW

Lemon laws will cover this if it's an ongoing problem. Driveablility problems can fall under lemon laws very quickly. Something like a radio doesn't affect driveability, but it does affect the value and utility of the vehicle, and after 4 attempted repairs, you're car's getting pretty yellow. I got the CD ERR F0 2 weeks off the showroom floor, it took them a month to get in the replacement unit, and (knock on wood) it's working fine for me so far.

http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/ - pick your state and check out your local laws to see where you stand.

In California, 4 or more attempts to fix one problem inside of 1 year / 12k miles qualifies, or if the vehicle is out of service for a cumulative total of 30 days since delivery.

Re: CD ERROR FO/LEMON LAW

Thanks guys! I love the car, but it just bits the f..k out of me how infiniti can't fix the problem with Clarion (who manufactures the radio). I mean, I love listening to the music while driving and tapes just don't cut it for me anymore. Now the dealer has installed the 4th radio, but it's still the same as the ones that broke down. Every time I load or eject a CD, I'm afraid it's going to brake again!
Anybody knows a custom solution for the radio problem? Like what type of custom radios can fit in G35?
