Hey, I think this is my first post, I usually just read and get information from forums, but now I have something to share. I just built a custom box for my G35 Coupe. It is made to hold two JL Audio 10w3v2s, and the JL Audio 500/1 amp between the two speakers. Box volume is large enough for the pair of speakers. I used 3/4 in. thick wood. The box utilizes the small portion of the trunk (that closest to the rear seat) while allowing full use of the area nearest the trunk latch. I have some pictures. I have a question... How do you get the spare tire out?

Cool box...it looks a little too "unfinished" for my tastes. Carpeting would make it look so much better. The subs look too far apart too for some reason.

WHen the amp gets installed, you won't see the unfinished look of the box, also the camera flash makes it look more so. The subs are spaced 13.5 inches apart, as to allow for amp placement between them. I could have carpeted the box, but I personally don't like carpeted. The box slides out pretty easily, so that is what you have to do to remove the spare tire.

 

Oh ok...yeah an amp right in the middle would really make it look great.
