07 G35 Coupe Bose w/ Nav...USASpec PA15

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere, but I tried for several hours to search for it with no success.

I picked up my 07 coupe 6mt in Athens Blue with Premium, Aero, and Nav last week, and the only thing I'm really missing is my iPhone connection.

I know the PA15 INFI works with this year, but I keep reading that I need to have the SAT receiver installed and I also see some rumors that if the Nav is installed, the car is not prewired for SAT and I can't use this kit. I dug around the bottom of the trunk, on the left side, removing a black plastic platform, and found what I think is some voice recognition hardware, but couldn't find anything I recognized as a SAT box. I don't know what this box looks like, or exactly where it might be located. When I press the RADIO button on the HU, I get AM, FM1 and FM2, but no SAT appears. Maybe this is because its not set up correctly, or maybe my car is not prewired...

My question is:

Can someone confirm that the PA15-INFI will work with a Bose HU with Nav for the 2007 coupe, and tell me exactly where the SAT receiver is or how else it will work? A picture of the exact location of the receiver from someone's 07 coupe would be VERY helpful.

Big thanks to anyone that can help!

OK, I found it, no wonder no one responded.

To summerize, In a 2007 w/ bose and nav, if you scroll through the radio options and do not see SAT, you do not have a sat receiver in the trunk, and need to get the PA15-NIS.

Time to spend some money.

Sorry bump this old thread, but I am running into a similar problem that OP described; I have the same car (tho Ivory Pearl in color ).However, I have mistakenly already purchased the PA-15 INFI unit.

So, like OP described, there is one white plug in the trunk that the PS-15 INIFI can plug into. That white plug is seemingly a "pre-wired" setup for SAT. However, there is one other plug that tapers from the PS-15 INFI plug which wants to plug into another pre-wired setup for SAT. I assume this plug actually plugs into the actual SAT box, which I don't have. So, my question is, to avoid the hassle of selling my new PS-15 INIFI and buying new one, can I just buy a used SAT box for my G, install that, and have my PS-15 INFI work?

It will work fine without the satellite adapter. The only difference between the -INFI and -NIS is the harness for the connection. They connect to the same factory wires, just at different places, neither requires the actual satellite adapter to be present.

Sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding: are you saying I can use my INFI with my car as it sits, right now? If so, can you elaborate on how to do this? Thanks.

Yes. You plug it into the satellite harness in your trunk and run the cord to wherever you're going to keep your iPod.

Unless there is a modification I can do to the radio or USA Spec, it doesn't work that way because I can't get the radio receiver to get to "SAT." So I cannot draw sound from the ipod.

There's plenty of people who have installed it just fine, pressing the PTY/CAT button should do it, so long as it's connected properly to the harness.

I have a 2007 Infiniti G35 coupe fully loaded with Navigation, Sports Package, and Spoiler. No factory installed SAT radio though. So is my coupe prewired?!

Yes. The harness is in your trunk, by the spare tire if I recall my coupe trunk layout correctly.
