Need Confirmation. iPod Adapter PA15 and 2003.0 Sedan

I've been reading into the whole iPod integration and have decided to go with the USA Spec PA15. I have a 2003 G35 Sedan with Bose (Doggy Door).

If any of you could verify/answer these questions for me, it would be HIGHLY appreciated. I've done my research, but given the many different types of configurations out there (03-04 vs 05-06, nav, sat, pre-wired, etc, etc), I can't say I really understand what's going on.

1) Will any applications (Pandora) from my iPhone 4 work on the PA15? I noticed that the owners manual from USA Spec states that Apps are available on 2003.5+ vehicles.

2) Is there any functionality that I will lose for having a 2003.0? Again, I see a few features such as folders and text as being omitted from the owners manual.

3) From what I understand, I am not pre-wired for SAT. The four buttons I have are "Disc", "Tape", "FM", "AM". And my last 6 of my VIN are "017361". Is that enough to verify that I am not pre-wired for SAT? And is there any difference in terms of installation between a pre-wired and not-wired 2003 Sedan?

4) The owners manual states that PA15-Infi and PA15-Nis are equivalent except that PA15-Infi connects directly to the SAT receiver in the trunk without needing to remove the radio from the dash. I'm guessing this all depends on what the above answers are, but I'm guessing my only option is to get the PAS-NIS since I'm not pre-wired for SAT or have SAT?

5) Does anyone have a link to a DIY guide for a 2003.0 non-pre-wired (assuming that is correct)? I've looked and found none.

6) And lastly, any recommended vendors/sites for buying?

Any help/feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. Anything electronic has always been my weakness when it comes to modifications.

1). When I bought my PA-INF and installed it(check out my DIY) I had my iPhone 3GS. Pandora, YouTube, etc. all work great. My gf has an iphone4 and when I connected it to listen to music it wouldn't play so double check on the vendors site that it's compatible.

2 & 3). You are not pre- wired for SAT. That functionality wasn't installed until the 2004.5 model year. You would have a SAT button if you did. With that being said, I doubt your head unit can display track data. The PA inf is hooked into the SAT harness located in the trunk under all the dressings. I have the actual unit under my back seat with the iPod connector running under the carpet to my center console. (again, see my DIY)

4. Yes, you would have to pull the head unit for the PA 15 non SAT install. A little bit more work but the end result should be the same. Just need to make sure all connections are super tight and that there's no chance of possibly separating a connection if you tug to hard on a cable. Also, before you reinstall the headunit, make sure everything works properly- ie. music plays and everything. USA Spec is known to send faulty iPod cables which can cause a high pitched squeal when you connect your iPod. Call them if this happens and they will send you a new cable.

5. I thought there was a DIY floating around out there for your model year but I couldn't find one. No worries. Just follow the DIY for removal of the head unit then start your install. It's just one connection and a grounding wire. If you snap a couple pics you can post a diy for others like I did.

Goodluck! Sorry for any typos, Im replying on my tiny iPhone.

Thank you.

So, can someone please explicitly state whether or not it matters if I get the PA15-INF or the PA15-NIS for a not-pre-wired 03.0 Sedan? As I stated above I know that the PA15-INF connects directly to the SAT receiver in the trunk but it doesn't explicitly state whether or not it's compatible with my car (with the above mentioned details).

I would hate to get an INF or NIS and then realize I made the wrong purchase.
