Fitment trouble with JDM DD kit and factory nav?? (Car at audio installer shop)

Can someone offer some timely input? The car is at the installer and the JDM kit from Tony@riverside is not fitting/pushing into the factory nav controls...anyone else seen this? I was under the impression that it should fit flush just fine...

just got mine done yesterday, its a VERY tight fit. When you push the button to pop the screen out it only comes out a quarter of the way, the rest i have to manually pull it up. However, it its not sitting flush when putting it back together then they are probably installing it wrong, and should re-examine how they fitted it into the kit

metpage, please provide pictures of everything if you have it.

I'll be tackling this myself in about 2 months, and expect to document the entire process for future generations, but I'm not above getting help whenever it's available.

That picture I posted are the only 05-07 with the JDM and stock navi I've seen, could you do some close-ups of where the two parts come together, as well as up/down showing it functioning? Just want as much reference pics available as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Thought you had an 05-07 for some reason, thanks for the pics anyway, I'll add them to my DD gallery, as I didn't have a close-up of that area there.
