hey guys. i just picked up a 2006 6mt sedan a few weeks ago. the car came with a 2 way alarm and i really hate it. i really want to go back to using a stock remote and remove the alarm all together. I have worked on cars before but never with a car alarm. what kind of work will need to be done to remove the alarm? the car only came with the aftermarket remotes and not the stock ones. the alarm is an excalibur omega. thanks in advance.

 

If the aftermarket alarm does not activate by itself, buy factory remotes and have them programmed. Done. If you really want the aftermarket alarm removed, most shops will remove it for $50-100.
