Best Place For AVIC-N1 Install

Ok i have two choices, one is where the factory NAV is supposed to be or the other is where the Stock HU is. Now i want it to be almost eye level with me when driving so i dont have to look down or take my eyes off the road, with it being at eye level i can just look with my eyes to the right instead of looking down and to the right ya know. But i also dont want the Avic-n1 to look out of place if its where the old NAV box used to be when the screen is open, just some thoughts and suggestions would be helpful.

Re: Best Place For AVIC-N1 Install

well
i have the n1 too
i install it at the stock stereo location..like limeg35 did
brought the double din kit

i say it look cleaner at that place
the navi location is not so good
u may have ur screen at eye level but the angle may not be that good

the bad about the stock stereo location is
where u need to turn off/on or adjust the A/C control
is a bit annoying ...even with quick flip function
(u only have 15 sec then it gose back up)
cos u need to close screen everytime u adjust it
so when it is a rainny day..it is worst
u need to turn on that thing for ur back window
and the turn A/C on for clearing up the front window a bit
then u may turn the temp up if it gets abit cold for ur lady
beside u...
all those..

anyway this is just my thought...just some factor for u to consider
