Sound dampener material under Zenclosure spacer?

Hi all,

Noob question but I've done a search and can't find any clear indication about how to approach this. I'm in the process of installing ID CTX65 cs speakers in the doors of my coupe, to replace the stock speakers. Not planning on doing anything else to the system, but while I have the doors off, I'm going to add sound dampener, and also do the rest of the car with whats left. I've ordered some Second Skin, and its on the way. But while looking at people's install pics and looking at the pieces (I have the door panel off now), I'm wondering, when I install the dampener material around the speaker hole, do I want a layer of the sound dampener material IN BETWEEN the Zenclosure spacer, and the door? Or should I cut around the spacer, so the spacer is touching the door? It may be a small detail, but I want to do it right the first time...

Also, as a second question, do I want to apply the dampener to every bit of bare metal I can apply it to (going to try to do the rear deck, trunk lid, wheel wells), or do I just need to apply some to every panel? Looking to get rid of some of the road noise....

Thanks!

you dont have to cover the entire door.

you can piece it together so that you have a good covering.

You will want to put some dampner on the outer metal of the door AND the inner plate of the door where the bolts go.

Did you figure out how you're going to install your sound dampener with your Zenclosure spacer?

you can lay the deadner over the door plate, then screw the spacer to the deadened door.

or you can deaden over the spacer....doenst really matter
