Guys, I have this amp Orion HCCA 275 G4 in my garage, sitting there doing nothing. This amp comes from my previous system and used it to power 2 kicker S15L7. I had a lot of trunk space on my last car, but now i have the G35 coupe. So, u guys have any recommendation about the subwoofer that I should get to optimize the use of this amp. I prefer 2 10 inch subwoofers, but don't know which one will be perfect for this amp.

Kicker S10L7, that is what I'm puttting in my coupe with a custom box. These speakers only need a .6 sq foot box and will hit plenty hard. If you used the amp for an L7 before it should work for an L7 again. <P ID="edit"><FONT class="small"><EM>Edited by istick2u on 09/22/04 08:49 AM.</EM></FONT></P>

I don't know too much about the Orion's; however, I can tell you this. In my old car I had two Infinity Perfect 12 subs powered by Phoenix Gold and it was way too loud, competition loud. I heard 1 Kicker s12L7 in a ported box ran by Phoenix Gold as well and it was as loud, maybe even louder. That is why I am going with a S10L7 dual voice, etc. for the G Coupe. My friend has been installing for 15 years and I was asking how this one ten in a regular (non ported) box would compare to the two 12's I had before and he said i would lose about 3 db. No big deal to me since the amp on my old stereo was about half up and the sub controls were on flat. I know you will be very happy. Since the S10L7 is square it has the same surface area as a 12, but only requires .6 sq feet. One should be enough, but you could probably pull off three if you really wanted to. Check out Ebay they have great prices on these subs. Plus if one is enough look at all the trunk space you can save! PS make sure you get L7 not L5
