It's best to pose this question in the Audio, Video, and Electronics forum. I'm sure Wrathernaut will have a recommendation or five for ya. I'm installing a single din alpine HU since I've velcroed my garmin into the cubby, so I don't really have a recommendation for a double din.

I'd suggest getting the Pioneer U310BT for the features your looking for. It's got the Navi and the color matching option your want. You can also hook up your Ipod with an optional chord. The only drawback is the "Points of Interests" on the Navi are limited but you can buy a Pioneer SD card with 2,000,000 "POI's" or you can add your own "POI's" onto an SD card and put it in. Crutchfield has it on sale for $399 right now including free shipping which sucks cause I paid $599 for it when I bought it. haha

I've installed a Pioneer U310BT before, and I was actually surprised at how fast it boots (the detachable face has battery backup, so it never really "boots" unless it's left off for days) and how responsive the interface is. For the price, it's very good, if limited in features (4 channels out, no video). The only problem with the U310 is the limited number of POIs that come with it. After you've purchased the additional POI SD card (so you can see gas stations and such) you're out $400+, which might have gotten you something that may have been better to begin with. If you can handle a slowish boot time, the X710BT is a good feature-filled unit.

Oh and yeah, this should be moved to AV forum.

please dont forget your gonna need a dash adapter kit, either the metra $175ish or JDM $250-300....

I had a Pioneer D3 and liked it very much.

You may have luck finding a 2009 model Pioneer for cheap since the new models are rolling out.

I myself like kenwood navis with garmin maps, but they are a little more than your budget requests

He's got an '03, and if budget is a concern, the Metras for 03/04 look fine. Buttons are still not a good match, but it could be worse.
So $150 for a Metra kit, $50 for harness and steering wheel adapter still leaves you enough to get a Pioneer AVIC-X710BT, which is a good unit, but boot time's a little slow.

An option you shouldn't ignore is a $100 garmin and a $350 Pioneer 3200. Definitely under $600 and better than any nav headunit in the $600 range.
Now that I think about it, you might be able to do the 3200 now, and add on the U220 nav add on later. It'd end up being a little over $600 for both.

Check out THIS one. Pretty much has everything you need. I never heard of the brand till I test drove a g35 (when I was shoppin for one) that had this installed and seemed like a pretty solid and promising unit. Went home to look up some info on it and my jaw dropped at how cheap I could get one.

Well then you will not want to see this link if you paid $599

Well, you can get the D3 refurbished for $600 - http://www.meritsale.com/item_detail.php?item_id=19

With double din kit, harness and a/c controls $200 or so, shop installation goes anywhere from $100-400, really depends on the shop.

So about $1000 to have it installed, give or take, $800 to DIY.
