Pioneer AVIC-X710BT

I know everyone has their one particular likes/dislikes, but as a whole whate are the down sides to the Pioneer AVIC-X710BT?

I know there are better units out there, but I am considering upgrading not just my car but my wifes car too. So budget is a lot tighter. Does any body have experience with the VisionTech BOYO Vision AVN700A, I can't find a single review anywhere for it.

The downsides are:

Slow full boot time:
- Radio plays after about 10 seconds
- iPod plays after about 15 seconds
- Backup camera takes about 20 seconds to be available
- Control of iPod takes about 25 seconds to be available
- Voice recognition for iPod control takes about 1min to be available
- Bluetooth takes about 90-120 seconds to be available
- Map features take about 100-130 seconds to be available
Trying to use map features or voice recognition for iPod control before the system is fully up cause buggy behavior, including reboots or lock ups.

GUI annoyances:
- Steering wheel controls can do iPod track skip/fast forward and tuner increment OR tuner preset up/down, but not both, as 99% of the stereo manufacturers do.
- Artist/Album/Song characters display limited to about 15 characters, with no scroll to display the rest.
- iPod voice recognition dictionary read takes up to 20min for large iPods the first time, and about 5min to update after making changes. The system is not smart enough to recognize when there has or has not been changes and automatically update or ask you to update it, so you update, then turn the dictionary update off, and turn it on when you've made changes, then turn it off once it's done updating. It's annoying.

There were a lot more complaints for the F700BT, which is the same unit with older software on it that were fixed when they updated to the X710BT.

In short though, if you're patient with the boot time, it is still a very good unit, you won't find something with those features for that price anywhere.
