going to install single Din, what are the best/coolest looking adapters?

i'm going to get the double din kit for my G but put a single din HU in there, cause i like the one i have. so i'm going to need to get some kind of faceplate adapter. not sure what's out there that would look good. maybe an extra pocket or something. anyone done this before? i see a lot of people putting double din's in but not single din. i admit the double din is better looking but my single din excelon sounds so good and works well and hasn't been used in a while.

thanks!

A simple search for single din would have answered your question quite easily.

Call Crutchfield, they are always very helpful and can probably steer you to some parts on their website. I would ask them what cars use a straight double din with no trim ring and/or mounting plates (I think like an 04 pathfinder, etc) and then look at mounting kits for those cars to get ideas.

I found my picture of a sebass04's single-din install, just wanted to add it in here.

Thanks guys. I'm really looking to see if someone has found something besides just a regular pocket like that picture, or a flip out screen. I've seen that before and i'm not interested in nav or video in my car. Maybe a pocket that opens/closes, or something completely different that i'm just not thinking about. i have done a lot of searches on this forum and google but i'm not coming up with anything fun or interesting.

I can't think of anything cooler than a sweet double din to fill the space there, but here's some random ideas:
Single-slice toaster
USB hub full of various "humping" figurines
Kleenex dispenser
Mini roulette wheel
Easy Cheese/spring loaded-Ritz cracker dispenser
Miniature "Police Line - Do Not Cross" tape across the empty hole
Locking "Tips" slot
Mini flux capacitor and LED date display
Ejection seat switches
Condom dispenser

dude the cheeze whiz thing would be sweet but all your ideas just gave me a good one. i've got a music keg i want to connect and i could somehow mount it underneath my deck so the keg HD pulls out for easy access, and next to it if there is any extra room, maybe a switch or dial for quick shutoff of subs. i don't have subs yet but i intend to get some in the future. i'm thinking of getting component 6.5 inches up front, 2 ways in the back, then rip out the 6x9 speakers, connect them to an amp and throw in 2 6x9 subs in those spots. not sure if the 6x9 hole would be deep enough for subs though. have my excelon deck power the 4 regular speakers cause that deck puts out a nice sound.

lol thanks for the inspiration the kleenex dispenser would be dope too, and pretty easy. LMAO i might do that actually.

That's the point of brainstorming.

Maybe make some interchangeable boxes to fit in there. Kleenex for winter, Easy Cheez for the rest of the year.

You know, I prefer my Easy Cheese installations to be stealth.

The easy part was gutting the $900 stereo to hide them.

The hard part was choosing only four flavors.
