Body Control Module Installation Help

I've recently been having problems with both of my door locks not closing or opening thru the switch or the key FOB and recently the trunk hasn't been opening also thru the switch nor the key FOB too!

I took it to a local shop and they checked out any faulty wiring, shorted out fuse, etc and told me that my BCM was the problem! I recently bought a BCM off a parted out G35 on here and wanted to install it!

The thing is I just realized that its gonna need the key FOB to control the components if the new BCM is installed! I checked at a local shop in torrance and said that they can install it but are iffy about the reprogramming! Called my local infiniti dealer and they said that reprogramming will cost me $1200!

So my question is, has anyone here had the same experience or are experienced in dealing with the BCM that can help me go about this? I really dont want to sped that much money and if I take it to a local shop I want to know what I would need to reprogram and match my current keys/Key FOB! Maybe you can also point me out to a local shop in Socal that specializes in these problems!

Your help is much appreciated!

Search is your friend.

And at half price of the dealer, you owe G35Driver.com $600.

Not sure if any other programming is needed, as I don't have my service manuals here.

Thanks for the help man! Ive actually been searching but it never crossed my mind to just search for the synchronization of the key fob! Is that the only one i'll have to sync though? Would everything function accordingly already since the others are physically connected and the key fob is the only wireless connection i'll have?

you'll need to program the BCM to the vehicle first and then the key fob to the BCM (by the above instructions). more than likely, independent shops cannot program it themselves. at the dealer expect to pay about 1-2 hours of labor although it only takes them 30 mins. that's just the name of the game. they should be able to program your fobs while they're at it too.

Here's the service manual for the BCM:
http://www.psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/coupe/2003/bcs.pdf

And body - you need to do the NATS initialization:
http://www.psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/coupe/2003/bl.pdf

NATS initialization requires tools that only a Nissan/Infiniti dealer will have.

Hopefully a Nissan dealer will be less expensive.

Thanks alot man! You guys have been really great help! I talked to an infiniti auto repair specialist and he seems to know how to program it but i'll have to ask him what exactly he's gonna do but from what I remember in our conversation, he just didnt know how to sync the key fob to the BCM! Hopefully its just that if not I'll Nissan or Gardena to get a price quote!

Once again, thanks for the help guys!

Did you have your BCM replaced yet?

I am having some problem with the old BCM and need mine replaced. I have the full service manual and no where does it say anything about reprogramming it other then the key and key fob, which I can do myself.

according to the service manual the replacement procedures for the BCM are simple:
Remove the old one, install new one.

There is no mentioning of any kind of programming required, other than the key and key fob..

Want to buy the BCM on ebay, but if dealer programming is really needed, I can live without the key fob.
