Need some help.. instaled new door speakers and randomly get a static hiss...

My whole audio system is stock. My front door speakers blew, so i installed a pair of kicker ks600. Every once in a while, i can hear a static hiss come from my passenger side speaker....

Any help on what the problem could be? I talked to my father and he thinks its because the stock head unit cant deliver enough watts to the speakers, and says that i need to get an amp to help power them...

Could be that whatever it was that screwed up in your stock audio system that caused the old speakers to blow is doing the same to your new speakers.

Or you just got a bad connection when installing the new speakers.

Do you think it would help my sound quality at all if i added an amp for my stock rear speakers and the new fronts? Or would it just cause the stock rears to blow?

If your headunit is broken and sending out something that's damaging it's what needs to be replaced.

Electronics repair shop... explanations for diagnosis are way beyond this forum.

Or see how long it takes to blow the next one.
