Speakers in Non-bose 2006 Coupe?

Hello all,

I recently got a 2006 6MT Coupe non-bose, and it sounds like the pass. side front speaker is blown.

Thus, I am looking to replace the speakers. Could one of you G35 audio guru's tell me if the below speakers would be plug and play for my 06 non-bose coupe?

- Infinity Kappa’s 62.7I with ZEnclosures spacers (for rears)
- Infinity Kappa’s 60.7cs with ZEnclosures spacers (for fronts)

Thanks!!!

Should fit, but haven't heard of anyone installing those particular speakers.

It's a lot of RMS to try and power with the stock radio though, I hope an amplifier is in your near-term plans, otherwise those will never sound as good as they can.

Sorry, what do you mean by RMS?

I understand these won't be the best possible solution, I am simply want something easy to install that will work a sound better then my blown speakers

Also can someone comment on how hard it is to replace the coupe non-bose rears?

RMS is how many watts they can handle continuously, as opposed to the "Peak Power" that cheap brands always slap on their "3000 watt amp! $300!" boxes.

If you have speakers designed for 75watts RMS but only feed it 12watts RMS, you're not going to be able to get optimal sound out of it.

Thanks Wrathernaut,

So the speakers claim a range of 2-75 and 2-90 RMS, so as long as the get 2 RMS from the factory unit they will function, but likely sound crappy. So I guess now I just need to find out with the factory non-bose RMS is

OK anther quick question, based on what I have read the stock speakers are 4 ohm, where as the Kappas I am thinking of installing are 2 ohm.

Is it not recommended to put in different resistance speakers ? what issues will I face and will they sound bad?

thanks guys!
