Hey all,

I tried searching the forums but couldn't seem to find the exact answer I was looking for. I am wiring in a 4-channel Pioneer GM D9500F amp to the doors and rear and wanted to know when I bring in the speaker signals to the amp, am I splicing from the head unit output wires, or the speaker harness wires? I have the Bose amp. Below is the wires I am trying to refer to. Thanks!

Factory speaker harness wiring colors

Front Right + Gray/Silver
Front Right - Yellow/Silver

Front Left + Green/Silver
Front Left - Red/Silver

Rear Door Right + Brown/Silver
Rear Door Right - Black/Silver

Rear Door Left + Green/Yellow
Rear Door Left - Black/Yellow

Rear Deck Right + Blue/Red
Rear Deck Right - Blue/White

Rear Deck Left + Blue/Yellow
Rear Deck Left - White/Green


Head unit output colors

Head Output Front Right + Orange/Blue
Head Output Front Right - White/Blue

Head Output Front Left + White
Head Output Front Left - Orange

Head Output Rear Right + Blue
Head Output Rear Right - Pink

Head Output Rear Left + Teal
Head Output Rear Left - Purple

 

I just did this, you splice the

Front Right + Gray/Silver to Head Output Front Right + Orange/Blue
Front Right - Yellow/Silver to Head Output Front Right - White/Blue

And continue on from that pattern.

Wait, question, did u mean that you spliced the head output to the amp input, then wire the amp output to the speaker harness wire? or did u just run wire from the amp to the speaker itself? Thanks!
