Non Bose factory front wiring question
I'll be replacing my non bose front speakers with a component set. I need to find out how the factory set is wired. Is there one set of wires that come out of the factory head unit that run to the door, and then split in the door somewhere for both speakers?
Or is there a separate set of wires that leave the head unit for the tweeter and mid?
I'm locating my amp in the trunk and I want to pull the speaker wire from there in behind the dash and tie into the factory wiring. But I need to know what's happening from there to each door to nail down my plan.

Thanks Wrathernaut. All of your insight has been very helpful as I've been reading all of your double din install as well. My full audio install begins tomorrow. Well, everything but my front coponents as they're not here yet, but I have the time and the help, so I'm doing everything but.
Highs amp, sub amp, memphis 12" m3d4, rockford 3 ways in the rear, pioneer f90bt, all wiring and distribution, and waiting for my hertz hsk 165's to get here. If there's anything else that might be useful for the install, let me know.

I hope you're putting some sound deadening tiles in there somewhere. No sense is putting so much into sound quality at all if you're just going to hear road noise and rattles when you're moving.
I recommend sounddeadenershowdown.com for the CLD tiles, but damplifier and second skin are both also good choices.
Also, I'm hoping you forgot to mention the spacers for front & rear (zenclosures.com makes great ones).
I annotated and captioned a lot of photos from my install - feel free to browse the gallery... I did it in a sedan, but most of the stuff carries over.

Well, you're right on one thing, I didn't think about spacers. Install went great, but those rear mounts were hard to drill. The hardest part was getting the spacer attached to the bracket.
Picked up some 1" spacers from best buy and they did the trick.
My front comps will be in this week and I'm gonna try to find a better set somewhere. Is 1" what I need for the fronts as well? I think my hertz mids are 2.6" mounting depth.
