Sirius Reception quit. How to fix

For the last two weeks, the factory satellite radio reception has been cutting in and out and finally quit alltogether. Now I just get "no signal" on the screen (2004 Sedan)
Had Sirius send a couple of activation signals. No luck. It seems for the symptoms that I may have a bad antenna connection. My FM/AM works fine.
Question is:
1. Any other ideas what it could be besides bad antenna connection?
2. How do I get to the connections so I can check?

Flowmaster wrote a very detailed and scellent article showing how to disassemble the dash for an i-pod install. I just want to check connections. Is all that disassembly necessary?

Thanks in advance guys.

It could be your antenna, or could be your tuner box.

My last car had the same symptom and it ended up being the tuner box. Dealership told me it was the antenna.

You can get an XM antenna for like $20, you could swap it out and see.

Thanks Spoolinupblue. Did you have to basically take your dash apart to get to the connections?

There is a harness that connects to the SAT box behind the back seat, while the sat box itself is under the rear deck on the righthand side, so all you have to remove is the trim pieces covering the underside of the rear deck to get to it.

Thanks Wrathernaut. The pictures should help.
Sorry for the late reply but I've been away. Anyway, thanks again. I'll post results for those that might have a similar issue.
