You need to spend more than a DDin will cost you.
You will have an outdated, crappy navigation system.

Or you could spend $100 and buy a portable navigation system that is in every way better.

You need:
05 Headunit + Nav screen combo
05 Nav unit (dvd drive piece)
05 Nav Wiring harness
GPS antenna
About 12 man hours

Stock navigation sucks worse than a $100 garmin, either go with a slick in-dash unit and risk it getting stolen, or do the garmin.

If you search, you'll find somebody full installation experience doing the stock retrofit to get an idea of what you'd be getting in to.

Just modify the old stock faceplate to fit over your double din and put it in place whenever you park.

^ No
The only differences is between years (2003-2004) and (2005 and up)

Yeah, but frankly, you're wasting your time and money doing so.

Why is that???
How come your not so fond of the oem nav????
I mean you have to know nothing about g35s to not be able to tell that some1 has the nav system because you can see the nav controls, so it still has a chance of people stealing it but is the problems with it why no 1 likes them
