Infinity Kappa vs Kicker system. What to do?
Alright guys I have the option to go with a complete Kicker setup or Infinity setup. This is what I have available to me. Cost is not an issue. Keep in mind the head unit im running is a Pioneer AVH-P4100. Potential setups could include:
Kicker:
Zenclosure Box
L7 10' Sub
ZX 700.5 Amp
Corresponding Kicker Door speakers
Infinity:
Zenclosure Box
Kappa 100.9 10" Sub
Kappa FIVE Amp
Corresponding Infinity Kappa Door speakers
If it was up to you guys which way would you go. I listen to a big mix of music, literally playlists that include electro to death metal. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks in advance, cheers!

this all comes from personal preferance and the use of most kicker and infinity stuff
ive used infinity referance coax, referance components, and kappa componets.
Referance sub and kappa sub
also used kicker L5 and L7 and kicker components
I like the infinity stuff better between the two, the L7 will have more SPL output than either the referance or the kappa (in the right enclosure size)
If you use the infinity try the tweeter on -3 setting on the crossover, to me they are still a bit bright but you may like it that way

Are you that OCD that you need matching brand on everything? Audio signals are audio signals.
If you post up your budget blazeplacid or I could probably point you in a less expensive, possibly better sounding direction.
Between the two, I'd take the Kappas as well. Had them in my last car, I loved the sound.
Not as good as my BA Pro60se's by a longshot, but for the price, I'd buy them again if I had to purchase according to a budget.
And a definite agreement on the tweeter setting... Kappas can make cymbals hurt your brain they're so crisp and bright.

They both make decent stuff but the components are their weak point.
The Zenclosure Box would also perform poorly with their subs since they shine in ported enclosures.
But if i had to choose.
2 kappa 100's (dual 2 ohm)

kicker zx750

kicker 850.2 for your front stage

Hye g, you work at BB right? I will tell you from experiance from our sound boards and my car, the infinties sound way better than what we carry instore. Also, I have had some trouble with the kicker and infinty multichannel amps heating up and shutting down pretty quick. Just be careful how much you are asking from the equipment and look at getting a seperate f/r amp and sub amp.
Oh and wrathernaut, I miss my pros so much...
