Anyone replace stock headunit with Single-Din headunit?

Anyone replace stock headunit with Single-Din headunit?

How does it look?

Please post pics if you have....thinking of either doing this or just getting the Iphone connection kit...not sure yet...

ive always wanted to do this set up, the car isnt a G35 but you get the pont

maybe next year??

No joke at all.

Headunit and a controller for a processor is no joke

31bands per side on front
20 bands per side rear
10 bands for the sub

Full time alignment


Also some surround sound processing
It's what dreams are made of

Do the conversion. iPhone support is better. Reliability is better (You have seen how many people's factory units have died, haven't you?). Sound is better.

^ Did you have to use the Double Din Kit? That alone is $300+ and then a headunit on top of that, it adds up quickly...

^get the metra if u dont wanna spend alot of the kit. $100 from crutchfield if u buy a deck from them

the metra kit comes ready for a single din radio

to make the metra kit a double din you must use a dremel or some type of tool.

I saved the $200 using the Metra over the JDM and used it to help buy an amp.

the JDM kit does look better but im much more on SQ than looks

If you do crutchfield.com, the Metra's under $100 if you buy a headunit through them.

May be cheaper to get both the Metra and headunit elsewhere, but probably not if you do a $150 headunit.
