Complete audio make over

What's up people. I've had my G for about 3 weeks now and car audio has always been the first thing I change in all my cars. After about a week or so of reading posts and ordering my parts I decided to do my install. This was not my first install but easily the most complicated one. I had the bose factory system. Thanks go to Wrathernaut for the shopping list and anyone else that posted something about an audio install. Here is what I put in.

Equipment:
Pioneer Avic z120bt
Infinity Kappa Perfect Components
Infinity Kappa 3-way 6x9
Alpine PDX-5 amplifier
JL 10W3v3 sub (not in yet, waiting on 4080 enclosure)

I was going to replace the rear 6.5s but I didn't know I needed spacers for them so I just left them out.

I replaced the 6x9s. This was the most complicated part of it all. Everything that was behind the seats that was leather or plastic had to come out. Not sure why they did it like this but its a pain in the *** and I hope none of them blow lol

I used the factory wiring so I didn't have to run new wires through the door. Thanks to Wrathernaught for hooking me up with the audio section of the FSM. The crossover fits perfectly. Just need to take the padding off the door panel.

I put the head unit in a week before so taking it back out for the amps and speaker install wasn't too bad. Its always easier the second time around. I need to take it out again to reconnect the steering wheel controls.

And here are the finished products.

About the only thing I would have done differently here would be to try and mount the amp on a little shelf under the rear deck, it looks like it'd fit.

Man if you lived near me id pay money to get a similar setup. How did you get the after market touch screen to read "Infinity". Also, what were the expenses for that setup?

You can change the boot screens on the Z120BT. Just need a source image.

good work OP

Im the same way, the 2nd day after I owned the car I had some people come over and they were all in shock that I took my car complelty apart.

I cant stand stock. I have a 30 min drive to work and the audio makes it so much better

nothing like a stong mid bass to make your morning

Nice work. How did you get the "Infiniti" to show on the boot menu?

That project looks like a huge undertaking but, I bet it was worth it. Nice job!

@M3Tuner44: Most DD units with a usb or sd card slot will allow you to upload images as backgrounds.

@brotus: Well worth it. My 4080 box came in yesterday and it really looks good. So good I think I'm going to save up for another box for the passenger side.
