10w6v2 in a 4080. Question

Just wondering for all of you guys that have the 10w6v2 in the 4080 box..
Your guys doesnt look like this right?

I bought the box used from a member. Theres just SOOO much space there and i think might effect how my sub sounds overall. Any suggestions on a fix?

~edit~
I just realize how dark the picture was and how hard it is to kinda tell whats going on, I apologize for that!

Would you have any ideas how how to fill in the gap around the sub or something? Thanks!

(Still at work, can't see your picture, so forgive me if I'm asking a question only a blind man would ask)

Is yours a 12" sub box? Solution: Fill it with more sub, or sell the 12" box and get the 10" box.

Did the previous owner mod the box for a funky sub? Make a MDF ring and *properly* seal it and attach the sub to the ring.

Haha no problem man, your help is appreciated!

It's a coupe driver side box so they only came in 10".
I'm pretty sure he modded it because I did some research and people said the image dynamics sub was a tight fit for the box and that's what the guy had in before.

But the MDF ring would be the best solution to my problem then?

Yeah, looks like an MDF ring can take care of it for you. You might be able to sell the JL 10W6 and pick up a IDQ10v3.

From my experience with jl subs, they tend to like bigger boxes than what jl recommends

how much power will you be giving it?
