Hey guys. I live in a small town and the only respectable installer has never done an '07+ G35 audio install (he has done an '05 before). I'm just getting 1 x 12 put in my trunk. My installer just called me and said that it's going to be way more complicated than he thought, and that he couldn't find any documentation on wiring from the head unit, and that everything was going through ribbon cables rather than separate wires. Do you guys have any resources that I can give him to ease this process at all? I don't have the Bose system fyi.
Thanks!

It's an '07 sedan with no bose. He called me this morning to say he found the rear speaker outs and just needs to find a power for the amp still. You have diagrams?
power for the amp should come straight from the battery and the ground should go to a chassis or frame ground
also, I dont like when a "pro" installer" has problems like this, it usually lead to more problems later.

I meant the remote power on signal so the amp comes on when the stereo is on. If you can't tell, I don't know much of anything about car audio so I'm just going off what he said to me :-p
Yeah it kind of worries me too, but like I said I don't have much of a choice in my area. He does great work but he's never worked on this car before although he could have instilled a little more confidence...

Just use the cigarette lighter for your amp power signal.
Blazeplacid is definitely right though, any "pro" installer who need help to install an amp needs to get kicked to the curb.
You're in New York, so you're what, like an hour away from real installers? Probably would have saved the time this guy was looking in the glove box for a signal cable.

Ive been i the audio biz for more than 10 years and g35's are one of the easiest cars to do if that installer worked for me i would of fired him once he would of said something like that.
