AMP install link?
Was wondering if anyone new of a link to install a 2 channel
AMP to power my front door speakers. I drive a sedan and changed out the front door speakers along with the tweeters
about a year ago. This past weekend I was in Circuit City
and they had a special on all AMPS do picked up the Infinity
for 179$, where would be the best place to install the AMP....and do I have to get the power from the battery or
can I get power that is going to my existing AMP (stock)..
Thanks

Here's an amp install DIY link, you'll find lots of good info there.

Re: AMP install link?
Depends, I'd definitely recommend running a cable to the battery because the stock wire is only like 14 guage. But you can give it a try and see if you are happy with it.
I ran 8 guage back to the battery for my basslink and it wasn't too tough to get from point a to point b. Anything larger than that though and you'll have to modify some of the trim to accomodate the larger wire. I think that running the wire to the batt is worth it because it gives you the freedom to expand in the future if you want. It took me about 2 hours, and I needed right about 20 feet.
I'm not sure about how large the Infinity amp that you bought is, but I'd probably try to fit it down where the stock amp sits. If not there then just mounting it to the back seat is a popular option.
