Sounds like for you the absolute best sound quality is the most important factor, even if it means taking up a large portion of your trunk. For me being able to run my Rear STB and a 12" sub and still be able to fit a set of golf clubs or large baby stroller in my trunk is just plain awesome!

BTW, the Sedan 12" enclosure has 1 cubic foot of space.
True.

Remember though..that's 1 cube before sub displacement.

Once you get that sub in, you'll more than likely only gonna have .6-.8 cubes of space left.

Would've been cool if they included a list of the subs that work best in that enclosure

I may do that soon

Somewhat.

I just feel that, if you're gonna do something..might as well do it right.

Think of it as someone cutting their springs vs buying coils.

Choking a sub in a tiny box can cook them overtime.

Infinite baffle can work, too. That's what i usually recommend to those wanting to save space.

I wouldn't be able to run my Rear STB or use the trunk pass through opening to carry my 10 foot rig pole with a setup like that; both of which are more important to me than slighty better sounding bass. I'll let others chime in that have been running this enclosure as to the quality of bass they get from it (I've read tons of excellent feedback).

$365 for a 10" box? That's pretty steep.

^Not at all steep but a good deal IMO when you consider how much it would be for an audio shop to make you a custom fiberglass enclosure

It is actually very easy to make your own custom fiberglass enclosure. Can be done for about 100 dollars in materials and one weekend.

I agree with earlier poster, if you are going to do it, you might as well do it right.

I built one for my G35 with some simple YouTube DIYs and currently doing one for my G37.

Very easy to calcualte the amount of space needed for your subs and build a glassed box accordingly.

I will snap a pic of my enclosure when I get home tonight. It is glassed and I am sanding it, will be painted this weekend. In all I probably have about 6-7 hours invested and 80-100 dollars in materials. I did not do 4080 style though, it is Zenclosure style.

Oh ok, as I said before the Zenclosure style doesn't meet my needs because I have a Rear STB and need access to my pass through opening in my trunk. Looking forward to seeing your setup.

No one has this one? I think this is the one I'll go with. It has 1.2^3 of space so....

I installed a pair of the ones subthump.com makes for the firebird for a co-worker a few years ago, not as good as the 4080 enclosure.
