Single sub wiring help

I'm just starting research for my system for the coupe. I'm getting a JL Audio 10w6d2 in this: https://g35driver.com/classifieds/pa...x=13&item=2720 enclosure. I have two older amps from my Honda, and I want to use one of them. The amp is a JBL GTQ400 and those specs can be found here:http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/pdfs/W6v2_MAN.pdf.

The sub can handles a ton of power, looks to be up to around 600 rms. The amp has a rating of 200w @ 4 ohms (2 channels). My guess to hook everything up right is to run the amp, 2 channel input, in bridged mode to the sub. I want to provide as much 2 ohm power I can. Can I assume that the amp can supply 400 watts at 2 ohms? Can I run this amp in 2ohm's? Do I run the sub in mono?

Thanks for the help,

Doug D

Re: Single sub wiring help

i didnt find any spec on the amp, but if it can do 200x2 at 4ohm stereo? if you bridged that amp, it should be at 400x1 at 4 ohm, not sure if it can take 2 ohm mono(bridged) load.

if you only getting "one" dual 2 ohm sub? you can only hook it up either 1 ohm (+/+,-/-) or 4 ohm(+,-/-/+)! (someone correct me if i am wrong )

Forgot to add the link to the amp. http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/CAR/Ow...0-400%20om.pdf

Just not sure how to hook this up properly.
