Metra and JDM DD Kit..

Is it possible to use the JDM ac unit onto the Metra bezel? Thanks in advance.

Yep.

Not through personal testing, but others have tried it, if you search, you'll find them.

At that point you might as well just buy a JDM bezel off eBay... They aren't too expensive.

Metra kit ~$150.
JDM A/C Controller ~$199
JDM A/C + Trim ~$300.

Hey wrathernaut would you happen to know which is the vss wire? Either behind the radio or behind the cluster. I believe its the pink one behind the cluster but I am unsure.

This is why I started this thread. Because the JDM one doesn't fit my flip out indash. If you look in the 1st page I have both the JDM and the metra. The metra fits with no problem but then the JDM doesn't fit whatsoever. I got to modify the JDM one and trim it down a bit to fit the indash. This JDM dd kit is direct from Infiniti Dealer at Besoff Infiniti in San Jose.

Whtie with green stripes wire on the back of the radio.
Forgive the image recycling, the other wire descriptions are for installing the PAC SWI to retain steering wheel controls.

Grind the sides of the radio before grinding the JDM, otherwise when you upgrade your radio some day, you'll have to get a new trim.

Im gonna have to grind the sides and a little on the top..Damn if I knew buying the JDM kit was this hard, I wouldn't even bought in the first place..I thought it was just plug and play.. But thanks for the help Wrathernaut.

Just don't ruin a $300 trim kit to make a $100 stereo fit.
