Sub and enclosure question
Different subs require different ports and volume of the box, and there's also the fact that their size usually means that the generic shape fits poorly, so a "generic" ported box is kind of an oxymoron.
Now, if it's a ported box made for one woofer for one car, you can mass produce them.
Sealed though, there's a lot broader range of applicability, so you can have a good, "custom-fit" box that is generic like the 4080 or zenclosures one.

^^how would that re audio sound in a sealed box? It's an spl woofer so I thought a ported box would work fine.
I'm no audiophile, my brother has 2 10'' w1s in a ported box from best buy and it bumps plenty hard for me.

If you're going for SPL, ported is *definitely* the way to go. SQ has supporters on both sealed and ported side.
Zenclosures seals the trunk from the cabin, so not a spl setup. Sq is affected negatively by that ad well, but not as dramatically. It'd still sound good, but wouldn't be near a good proper ported box.
well before you buy..try to do some quick math on the air space and port. Maybe you can find something close to what RE Audio recommends.

I found a pre fab that's very close to what re audio recommends. The box is 12'' tall i don't know if that will fit in the back part of the trunk
