The only I've seen mentioned here that seem to be worth considering "BEST" are the 9960 and Z120, and that choice simply comes down to whether the better navigation of the 9960 is more important than the better user interface and voice control of the Z120.

I think I like the setup you have suggested in the other post about what head unit to get, Wrathernaut, I could get the Poineer avh 3200bt, with the HD module, and buy a NICE Garmin GPS to install in the cubby above the heating/ac controls where the factory nav would be. Andy put in a nice backup camera too... I was thinking a BOYO license plate frame cam. Anyone know an exact model number that is good?

I could get the best of both worlds.

It's never bad to have GPS that can travel with you when your car can't.

Seeing the really high-end garmins with voice recognition and small size *almost* makes me wish I'd done that, but I still like the integrated solution. I wanted the *best* headunit when I bought mine, navigation was a bonus.

I was considering getting the avh 4200dvd and add the bluetooth and HD modules...

Would have the nice 7" screen. How is the poineer bluetooth, good?

I wonder if another name brand deck would fit the bill with bluetooth.

So I pulled the trigger, and got the Pioneer AVIC X920BT $579 after rebate. Not bad, from an authorized dealer.

Now for the rest of Wrathernauts DD shopping list...

Not a bad price at all. Good luck with the install.

Hey, Wrathernaut, do you think I can get away with 17' rca cables going down the side? Or should I go down the middle? If I go down the middle I probably only need 12' rca's, yeah?

DD kit

I picked up a Nissan DD kit on eBay $76 shipped, used but looks pretty good, like 8/10. Anyway, it has single ac controls, while my car is dual. I am not to worried about loosing the dual control, but just want to make sure it works.

Any thoughts or opinions???

Do the middle. Short wires are always good.

Yeah, single works fine, the only difference is the actual presence of that button. You can transfer it over following the instructions found linked in my shopping/resource guide.

Hey Wrathernaut, one quick question. Do I need to get a PAC ROEM-NIS2 if I have aftermarket amps installed already??? I am thinking no, but then there is the wiring for the vehicle itself, yeah?

*EDIT* I bought a METRA 70-7551. My bad. I was looking at the 03-04 in your DD list.

Yeah, ROEM-NIS2 is for integrating with the Bose amp only.

Since you're using your own RCAs to go to an aftermarket amp, there's really no difference between using the 70-7551 or 70-7550.

Hey Wrathernaut, how is the PAC SWI PS, does it work good? Is there another name brand that is better? (I was reading there was something) Or is it my only choice?

Supposedly the
Metra Axxess ASWC Metra Axxess ASWC
is real good too, but as far as I know, cannot be programmed to do the voice recognition input via the steering wheel buttons, which is very nice to have on the X920BT and Z110/Z120BT.

I agree

Yeah, big feature to have working. OK, I will get that one then.

Hey, what do you recommend for backup camera? I was thinking Boyo license plate camera, but am not adverse to Pioneer, are you running one? If so, what are you using?
