he is kinda right. but they are far enough apart to not REALLY cancel themselves out. if you have 2 subs facing each other then the sound waves move forward off the sub and run into the waves of the other sub and it "cancels" them out.

Yeah, angle them so they're aimed forward, avoid the canceling out.

There is a good three feet of separation so imo he is gtg. Maybe they would cancel out if there were only a foot or less. btw, how bad do the trunks on the sedan rattle with heavy bass? I will be going with one 10" kicker comp built into that right side only.

yea it will be fine. if i was a stereo analyzer and was worried about this setup i wouldnt have gone with my choice in equiptment either so its not going to make a difference that i can notice.

my old setup hit REALLY hard. the only thing that rattled was the trunk latch and it didnt even rattle that much

Good luck with the fabrication.

If you need any help, these pictures/build might help. This is my trunk setup, and it's pretty much what you are going for plus a few extras (plexyglass amp floor, access to space, etc).

I took a lot of progress pics, so it might help you with ideas on how to secure the boxes, clearance issues and stuff.

^ thanks for the link. My rear deck squeaks and rattles just driving around (2003 sedan). Any clue as to DIY the squeaking issue? Also, is there an easy fix to the 6 disk in dash not reading CDs? I rock the IPOD with tape deck so I'm not hurting for music options.
