Stock speaker replacement.
To make sure I have this correct.
The stock components in the doors can be replaced with after-market speakers.
Now the stock bose speakers are at @ 2ohms. So if I add aftermarket, which are 4ohm, the power will decrease.
So I would need a good sounding speaker that is pretty efficient.
I was looking at Polk compenents, always liked them, they are pretty efficient and can handle the power from a future amp upgrade.
Am I correct on this..
Thanks

Re: Stock speaker replacement.
Assuming you have the Premium Bose system, the Bose amp can run any (2 pairs of) component sets you want to use...efficient or not. It has plenty of power for reasonable volume levels. That's not to say a better quality amp(s) with more power won't help...but just upgrading the door speakers will net you a nice reward.
