03 Ipod mod: tapping into Bose tape deck

I searched extensively, and I did find this link in one of the main iPod threads:
G35 Advanced iPod Integration
http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/g35...tegration.html

While this sounds cheap & easy, I didn't see much response to it, and I can't find any further mention of it here.

So the question is: anybody done this? Is it as simple as it sounds? Got install pics or other links?

My apologies if my search skills failed me, and thanks in advance for any direction y'all might be able to give me.

I would think the sound quality would be better bypassing the tape deck itself, no?

Yeah, it'll be better by bypassing.

Still kinda makes me wonder about any effort put into keeping the stock radio though. It's way too prone to failure to do anything ot keep it running.

But still, at like $10 to get an AUX in, I guess it's ok.
