Just installed inviscord.. but radar never turns off

Hi, I just installed my stealthcord ( the one that plugs into the homelink) and it works, but the thing is even after I turn off the car, there is constant power going to the detector and it doesn't turn off for a very long time. And when I come back and start the car (after the very long time) it doesn't turn on with the car. I was wondering if anyone had this problem? I have the Escort 9500 IX . thanks!

ive never used that cord but....where is the wire tied into?

I tied into the cigarette lighter, it turns off and on with the key

I used a telephone cable and found the wiring diagram for the escort online

Sounds like you have the positive plugged into the constant 12v and not the ACC 12v. There is more than one positive going into the mirror, double check that you got the right one.
